Be Smart, Don't Start

In this age, young smokers are becoming more rampant over the years because of the influence from the TV shows or adults around them making them curious on how it tastes and wanting to look cool. E-cigarettes and cigarettes are very popular among youth. High school students are more likely than adults to use e-cigarettes and cigarettes. E-cigarettes and cigarettes typically contain nicotine as well as other chemicals known to be harmful to health. E-cigarette and cigarette users, for example, risk exposing their respiratory systems to potentially harmful chemicals.

Be Smart, Don’t Start is an interactive application that provides awareness of the aftermath of smokers. This installation aims to prevent youth from smoking in a fun way, raise awareness of the health risks associated with smoking, and show the facts and videos with our Augmented Reality Mobile app “Be Smart, Don't Start.”

This interactive installation aims to show the audience how smoking harms a person's health and increases the risk of heart disease.
