Early Access Review There is Chaos in the Hospital: Quickly, the apparently extremely ill Patient John Smith is taken to the Emergency Room. Doctors have diagnosed him With Necrosis after undergoing surgical Exploration. When you connect the Patient to the System thanks to the latest medical Technology, you can see how bad they are really doing. A Heart attack and Brain Stroke are identified, and we as a Doctor must now get the Patient back to health ... Or we kill him, that's our own Decision in Bio Inc. Redemption.
In Bio Inc. Redemption, as a Doctor, we can treat and save a patient, or we are Helpers of Death and make sure that we bring an early End to our Victim. Quickly enter the Name and Difficulty level, use possible Boosters through Experience points that we get after each successful treatment/Euthanasia and you're ready to go.
The Game has two Campaigns of 9 Missions each, divided into Death and Life. At Death, we usually have to make sure that our Victim dies. We can do This by picking Up Biop-points. We regularly find these in the nine different Systems of the Body-for example in the immune System, circulation, respiratory Tract or muscles. If we Collect enough of it, we can spend the Points in three different Categories. With regard to diseases, we can do all sorts of things, yes ... Develop Diseases that differ in severity. There's High Blood pressure, Gastroenteritis or an ordinary Flu, but also the really violent Stuff like a severe Depression, Heart attacks, Necrosis or Bowel Cancer. Then we have the Category of Risk factors-which exacerbate Diseases, Obesity weakens, for example, the Circulation-and Recovery, in which we hinder doctors in their Work, i.e. trigger a Strike in the Hospital or Ensure it before recovery, Their Patient is Afraid of the Doctor.
If we play Life, we are the Doctor and make sure that our Patient is more or less allowed to leave the Hospital alive. Here, too, we collect Bioppoints in order to be able to initiate Diagnoses, because at first we do not know what our Patient has. We need to determine in the Case based on his Symptoms what he could possibly have. Example: Our Patient suffers from a Rash, that's clear. We now have to determine The Cause ourselves, as there are several Diseases that cause rash. But which ones? Apparently the Immune system suffers, so could it be because he has any Disease there? For Safety Reasons, we spend four Points to start a Test with UV light. After a few Days of Diagnosis, we actually get the Message that our Patient suffers from Photosensitivity. We Quickly cure the Disease and in fact the Rash is gone again.
Instead of Risk Factors, the Doctor can provide The Patient with ways of life. Then our Patient drinks enough water after enough Points and thus strengthens his kidney and Digestive System. Finally, in the Intensive Care category, we can improve our Diagnoses and treatments, or, when the push Comes to shove and, for example, the Circulatory System is only 10% functional, to perform a Heart Transplant. But this should be well considered, because such a thing only goes once and if the System is switched off once, it can only be made functional again by an Operation.
Especially in the later Missions, the Game becomes pleasantly challenging, but never too heavy. Even the toughest Level Of difficulty "Deadly" is perfectly feasible if you think carefully about what you want to do next. You can't Save during a Level. Technically, the Game is flawless and the Music is also quite good. It becomes especially exciting when our Patient has to be forcibly admitted to the Emergency Room as a Doctor and suddenly the Music becomes faster, more stressful and louder. You then notice "Shit yourself, I have to do something now." And well, I caught myself a few as a Doctor in the Game, as I quietly said to myself, "You're not going to die, not if I can prevent this!" Is really like that. The Developer is quite active and also works well with the Community from what I have seen.
Long Story Short: Bio Inc. Redemption feels very playable so far, despite the early access Status, almost like a finished Game. For 12.99 you can't go wrong here if you are a bit interested in the Topic of Diseases and want to play a doctor or Death yourself. The Scope is also sufficient, but I would like to see a few more Missions, but by and large I can make a Recommendation to buy.
