Bird Friender

As an elf shaman, befriend birds by feeding them in this Game Boy-styled game (featuring the four colors of Avocado Vision).

Controls

• Movement: 
  • WASD keys
• Action Keys: 
  • O: Throw Seed
  • P: Coo (Attract Bird to a Seed Mat) / Shoo Hungry Hawk

Gameplay

• Walk up to a seed mat and press P to attract a bird.
• Press O to throw seeds on the mat. Throw seeds multiple times to form a pile.
• If a bird is eating, it is happy. If it isn't, it is upset.
• When a bird eats enough, it becomes your friend and flies off.
• If a bird becomes annoyed, it becomes your enemy and backs away.
• Befriend 6 birds within 60 seconds to win a level. Make enemies of 3 birds or run out of time to lose a level.
• If all four seed mats are occupied, a Hungry Hawk will swoop down and take a bird (counts as a bird enemy).
• Walk to the top of the screen and press P to shoo the hawk away.
• Don't slip on bird poop.
• Complete all levels to unlock a Free Play mode where you can befriend unlimited birds without fear of failure.

Bird Types

Different birds have different requirements to befriend them.

• Typical Pigeon - Baseline bird type. Feed enough to befriend.
• Bashful Penguin - Doesn't eat while you are looking at it.
• Egotist Toucan - Only eats when you are looking at it.
• A-Hole Owl - When upset, owls will eat another bird's seed before leaving.
• Finicky Flamingo - Only eats when it's seed pile is at maximum.
• Diminutive Finch - Requires little seed to befriend. Do NOT overfeed.
• Rascally Raccoon - Not a bird. Don't feed, and it will leave (does not count as an enemy).
