Black Jewel reviews

Despite the fascination from retrogaming, this game does not appear to be much. Repetitive, frustrating, just in the style of the worst titles from commodore64. So If you're not used to that period, stay away.

Product received for free is a nostalgia for those who once owned "Commodore 64" and "Amiga", or as I remember, in my childhood it was "Robic". In fact, everything is simple at first sight. Our character can only jump and wave the sword, but all about everything we have one strip of life, as well as no sequels. Lost, start again. And you will have a lot of such attempts. As A result, you begin to memorize the location of enemies and their actions, especially bosses, who periodically come across the way to promote our hero. In General, the game for the diligent and patient, and fans of hardcore, because despite the simplicity of the gameplay, will have to suffer.

I had already played it when it was still self-publishing on Sellfy, but I wanted to buy it again on Steam because it deserves to stay in my games library! An Indie title that once again demonstrates the excellent technique of Oscar Celestini as pixel artist (author among other things Mastema: Out of Hell and Broken Core), in my personal opinion is his best game. With Regard to gameplay: You advance and slice the monsters with a memorable soundtrack background; However, the game is really difficult to play and every attack should be weighted, is not a title for Button Masher, being a tribute to the legendary Commodore 64 The victory goes sweaty, and Black Jewel will make you sweat a lot. A must for the real retro-gamers.

Great Little game. I have never had a Commodore of 64 or Amiga, but I am sure that this is how the toys looked and sounded-very convincingly done. Your Hero, Varvar Ryan (Conan... Ryan...) can only jump and wave the sword, but it is enough for an exciting adventure. CRT-effect, keyboard control (although with joystick is also possible) and a magnificent "eight-bit" soundtrack attached. The Game, however, not for the faint of the nervous-the complexity of the insane, all by hardcore, life is only one, the strip is over, and all, goodbye. He was only able to reach the third boss. But the addiectiality is unbelievable. The Third week is trying to go further. The Presence of Hi-score only exacerbates the addiction, as well as the similarity with old good times. As if sitting again in "Computer Club", persistently trying to pass the second stage of any Rus'n'attack on the PC "Agate" or at the parents at work on 386 try to overcome the first guard in Prince of Persia... Pure concentrated nostalgia, in a word.
