Brugvik Demo

This is a prototype of the game I'm currently working on.

It's a narrative/detective game centered around logical deduction.

The setting of the game is Brugvik, capital of an ex-eastern-bloc nation, in 1994, 5 years after the fall of the old regime.

You play as an investigative journalist. A mysterious person contacts you and provides you with a treasure trove of old surveillance recordings and documents belonging to the previous secret police. You are tasked with figuring out who the people in each of the recordings were, and to write their story.

Some of these ideas are subject to change for the final game, but for this demo the goal is to figure out which characters are present and/or mentioned in each of the given recordings.

Approximate play time: 30 minutes

The final game will feature a more compelling method of delivering new info to the player (right now the game just gives you more stuff as you hit a certain milestone), as well as a more interesting final goal for the game - still need to figure that one out.
