Being a former Bunny player on CS: source, I tried this game promising to regain the sensations of Bunny-hoping "old fashioned". Note and conclusion at the end. gameplay let's start with the heart of the game, the gameplay. So level sensation is really not bad, we find this mechanics of Bunny really fluid and precise, at first it seemed excellent, the grip is fast. However with a little more practice we realize that quite a lot of things are frustrating enough: we take speed much too quickly it is extremely complicated to slow down movements of mice too fast we stop totally, it's enough Disabling gravity is quite low so our character tends to float above the platforms without touching them, it's difficult to judge correctly the point of arrival the level-design of the maps is overall quite poorly adapted, but I will come back After a few hours I must confess that personally the frustration prevails not badly on the pleasure of play, but surely am I too accustomed to the operation of the Bunny on cs. However, I say that the game is a die & retry, it is also normal to feel the fustration when you fail in a loop.
Maps and graphics there we arrive on the really problematic part of the game, the maps. As the number of maps has increased what is appreciable, the designer is obviously not a very experienced mapper. Maps tend to be chained to copied/pasted platforms no matter how far the levels, there is a very poor use of the heights (either it's all flat or sometimes too vertical), a lot of passages are too narrow ( When we go very quickly it is rude), and the difficulty is poorly managed (on some map there is a very difficult passage in the middle of easy zones, and we often feel that the difficult passage is there just because the Mapper did not realize that it was wrong).
I add that obviously it is really unacceptable to have released a DLC of maps while it lacks full of features on the game, including the workshop steam and the possibility for players to create maps (which for some will be laaaaargement better than the maps currently in the game I have no doubt).
Question graphics I'm not satisfied either, the Unreal engine allows to have a game overall pretty but the textures are often too flashy, in many places the maps are too dark or too bright, and some effects (especially bloom) are too pronounced (and especially are not deactivable in the options, so we see nothing and in addition we lose FPS). Almost every map has its own graphic theme which is really not bad (some are totally ugly on the other hand), even if we would like much more creativity in design when we progress on the maps.
Music I like it personally, on the other hand there is too little it turns very quickly in loop.
Various the game has an online mode, I have not tested but it seems to work properly it still lacks some useful functions, such as a visu of successful/unsuccessful maps and the times achieved, world records, etc there are two modes of Games in addition to the Bunny hop, the slide and the surf, perso I do not like at all the sensations on this game but it can be nice note and conclusion despite the good sensations of Bunny the game to the current state is quite frustrating, due to the worries of gameplay and level-design d uninspired maps. With some corrections and the arrival of community maps via the workshop it could become excellent, but in the meantime it's just a nice little game. It can be worth it if you like die & retry and want to try bunnyhop experience, on sale the game is almost given. If then you really want to put yourself to bunnyhop I would advise rather csgo, there are loads of bunnyhop servers and thousands of maps created by the community.
Note on the game: 5/10
