After a tragic accident leaves her boyfriend in a wheelchair, Natalie, a nurse practitioner, struggles to make ends meet. She takes a job caring for Zola, a girl with an unusual autoimmune illness that limits her contact with others to communication through webcams throughout her room. But there's something stranger about Zola than her illness...something much darker...And something about her mother.
