... If you spend time watching some YouTube videos and reading on the wiki. The Game has a very old way of playing (keyboard only), but it is amazingly variable and indeed infinitely large. If you Have the patience to put yourself into the game, it is incredibly rewarding. I recommend you to watch a YouTube gameplay video first, to check if this is your thing.

Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead is without a doubt a wonderful port of the PC roguelike. An infinite world to explore, an extensive building and crafting system, and a very detailed simulation of survival that you simply cannot stop playing. The controls are not as easy as PC version, maybe with the future use of the bluetooth keyboard compatibility it'll be easier. Yet, the interface is the best it can be considering it uses so much keys on the PC version. I have it installed on both Ipad and Iphone and controls are easier on Ipad, I's say. But still really usable on iphone. My advice would be to read wikis, and see tutorial videos. It spoils a little (don't worry you'll still be surprised), but the possibilities are so huge that you might need help to avoid being lost and survive more than a day. Yes the game is really hard, but that's why it is so enjoyable. And the replay value is so incredible that you won't bother dying over and over again. About the IAP, to say the truth I hate IAP, I usually like to buy premium games, with a higher price, but no IAP. And I'll be honest, the sound pack isn't necessary to play the game and to enjoy this port. Meanwhile, I've purchased it and it adds so much to the atmosphere that I would highly recommend it, as its price is really nothing. I know that roguelikes aren't for everyone, and even if I enjoyed some in the past, sometimes they seems a little bit too obscure and punishing to me. But this one is the perfect balance between complexity and difficulty, and clear and understandable menus and stats, so it makes the whole experience something awesome and massive that blows away any other roguelike on IOS at the moment (or any RPG on this platform for that matter). The port was made with talent and love, without any compromise. Beware, though, that it will suck your battery quite fast for a 2D game. Beside that, I know that cataclysm DDA will stay on my devices for a very long time and that I will play it for years. It's the deepest RPG you would ever find on IOS. Thanks for this port!
