Product received for free A real Pearl in the cluttered Steam store. The Game is a classic Platformer in The style of old 8-Bit Consoles, Graphics and Soundtrack are really Lace. The Action is very complex, i.e. certain Decisions, E.g. whether to kill Or let defeated bosses live, influence the later Gameplay. Negative Points are minor technical Shortcomings, such as that the Game runs down sharply on some 64-Bit systems and that in the first Level when Escaping from prison you can not kill the last opponent because you can not use the Sword because of a Bug Meets. These Bugs could be fixed by Installing them on Windows 7 32 Bit. There the Game ran flawlessly and because of the very low System Requirements it also runs in a VM. Otherwise, the fairly high Degree Of Difficulty can sometimes be a bit frustrating. Overall, I still give the Game 9 out of 10 Points because it's the best Platformer I've played in a long time and the Game brings back the Charm of the old 8-Bit Console Games.

"Cataegis: The White Wind" is a Retro Action side scroller in The Style of old NES games. The Story is as snow-looking as it was in the good old Days at these Games. The World is somehow in Danger and we are a great Hero with a Sword to save the same. At a high Speed, we network through humanoid Enemies, Robots and other Critters and also like to jump over Platforms. There are numerous Special Attacks, Laser Beams or Fire Walls, there are Dueling Situations with Boss opponents and there are exaggerated comic intermediate sequences. The Whole thing garnishes with a driving 8-Bit sound and a high Degree of Difficulty. At least in theory. Because I have the big Problem that the Game doesn't work right for me. Instead of high Tempo, I can only gamble the extremely slow senior version with constant Rucklers. No Matter in what Resolution, no matter in which Configuration, a Solution could not be found. Also exhausting that the Controller Control does not work for me and the Key Assignment, which is designed for English Keyboards, cannot be changed. As a result, there is hardly any Fun left, on the Contrary, the Game is almost unplayable. What a pity.
