Margot has spent the majority of her childhood wishing she could live with her father. When the opportunity finally arises, Margot faces feelings of uncertainty and confusion, realizing life in the small town is not as glorious as it seems. Upon arrival, Margo begins to notice the life she has chosen seems to consume the people around her. Alongside Margo, her family is feeling uncertain as well, wondering if Margot will become the town’s next victim, spending her life wasting away in the rural community. Will Margot be able to escape the clutches of this life?

Chadwick is an interactive fiction story, based on real life experiences I had and witnessed as a child living in a rural farming community. The game explores various sensitive topics related to the true experience of rural life, specifically rural poverty.
