Circa Infinity reviews

Product received for free under its rustic appearance, circa infinity is an excellent nervous platform game in which the player learns to master slowly but surely the mechanics of gameplay. The level design constantly renews itself with intelligence despite the apparent limitations of the concept, and allows to progress without getting bored, all on a nice soundtrack. The complete test on IndieMag.fr: full test [www.indiemag.fr] (I played a DRM-free version for several hours. I finally bought the steam version because I wanted to post my evaluation and that the game is really cool:) I played the minimum on steam to be able to publish.)

Circa infinity is a puzzle game/platform that takes place only inside circles, whether in the game or in the menus. To make simple at each level you have to go to the next circle by jumping on it, if you get there you go to the next step/circle, if you are touched by an enemy you return to the previous circle (so there is not really a checkpoints strictly speaking p on some levels you can go back to the beginning of the level if you are touched by enemies in a loop). The music is really good https://youtu.be/adqQ3QImx8s and fits perfectly in this type of game: a nice effort has been made to create an atmosphere in the title. There are two game modes: an adventure mode and an infinite mode. The Adventure mode offers 5 worlds each composed of 10 levels as well as a final boss usually very nice to beat in addition to being original (apart from the last one which is really too simple). Each world brings new mechanics to the title and the progression is made crescendo with nevertheless a slight peak of difficulty the first time we arrive in the third world (which adds a second character to control). Unfortunately, the last world, in addition to having a failed boss, brings a new mechanics (the addition of colors) that really incrushes the title: it slows down the game, it's not necessarily very interesting and so it ends very quickly by tiring. It's a pity because it makes it the big black spot of the title in my opinion. The infinite mode changes completely our way of playing since the speed takes precedence over the reflection, each circle must be crossed as quickly as possible and without being touched by the enemies on pain of having to start all over again, it is a so more based on scoring than the Adventure mode... However, I deplore the fact that there is no online ranking either for adventure or infinite mode. Circa infinity is therefore a game that I recommend, the game falls very often under the bar of €2 and for this price I do not see why we would deprive.
