On December 31st, life in the big city changes. The air is filled with the anticipation of celebration and wonder, so even going to a job you don’t like doesn’t seem that bad.

The main character is a guy named Tom, a barista at a shopping mall. His shift falls on December 31st, so he makes coffee and watches the world dive into the New Year's hustle and bustle.
