Cold Line el poblado

Coldline el poblado is a """"""PUN""""""" (notice the extra quotes), on the popular game Hotline miami, by that i mean, the name, not the actual game, the game itself is a de-make of sorts of the original game translated into the NES world,as such, I did everything in my hands to stick to the NES restrictions while still using a modern development engine, such as color pallet, controller scheme, screen dimensions, and so on, as long as it was practical that is, for instance, the enemies use A* for path finding (something that would have been impossible on the NES), and the code uses a mix of design patterns that would have also been impossible on the NES, but for
the most part, it's an NES-like de-make of hotline Miami, plus my personal touch :).

This game started as a game-jam game a long time ago (2018 or so), sort of, originally that was the plan, but my team bailed out, so I decided to finish making it at my own pace, while i never intended for development to take this long (I honestly just wanted it to take the time of the jam {48H}, while having enough time to have a life {by spreading those 48H over a couple of weeks}), life happened, to both me and the code, at some point I even lost the code to the project, forcing me to start over only to later find it out but with parts of it missing, which meant I had to stitch together something since I was not about to let my work go to waste, but eventually, quite a while later, I got the time to finish the game, so, enjoy, and thanks for reading my little rant on life ;).

How to play :

This game is played using either the WASD or arrow keys for movement (no controller support tho, sorry).

K key for firing your current weapon (that includes punching).

J Key for picking or tossing weapons.
