Colin McRae Rally reviews

Moin Folks, I decided to write a Review today about Codemaster's rally game Colin McRae Rally. The Game was released in Honor of World Rally Champion Colin McRae (1995), who died in 2005. The Game is also a remastered version of Colin McRae Rally 2. However, The old Graphic was partially retained, just slightly refreshed. I have to say that the Game gives a really good Simulation for the time, because there is a Damage model of the Vehicles and you have a repair Time after every second Stage. Within the Game, you have a total of four rally cars. These are: Ford Focus Subaru Impreza (Colin McRae's World Champion car) Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Lancia Stratos For me as a racing Fan, this Game was a Must and I can recommend it to any Rally fan who doesn't attach great Importance to Graphics. However, I would wait until it is on Offer in a Sale as almost €10 is something expensive for such an old Game. I am happy to Be open to questions and Reviews in the Commis. MfG Ecki

"Colin McRae Rally" is definitely not a Remake of the grandiose classic Of the same name, but a cheap tablet port. The fact That Codemasters-the Developers of the entertaining F1 series and the outstanding DiRT Rally-seriously puts out this Grits under the Name of the great Classic is (very kindly formulated) a Cheekiness. At the Original, there was a wide Range of Vehicles and Tracks. Terrains that felt different, even if you only gamble with Keyboard or Joystick. The Original was challenging, intelligently difficult, but one always knew that it was due to your own unfinished ability, which one was motivated to constantly improve. There is nothing of all this in what we have here. Four Vehicles (in Words: Four!), extremely generic Routes, the Surfaces of which do not feel very different and whose Components are constantly recycled. The Vehicles also feel very similar and highly unrealistic. If the Original had a Cockpit View with an animated Steering Wheel back in 1998, a black Box without Inner Life is undershoved here. The Handling is ... No Handling. With Steering Wheel, sichs does not play anyway and if you can make it through the idiotic Menues (which cannot be operated with controllers in the first Place), you are fobbed off with four Directional functions that know no Transitions, but only on or off. So Gas full or not, Steering impact left full or not at All. There's nothing in Between, even with a Controller. Of Course, you have to play it on a Touchscreen, you can only press a Button on the Touchpad at a time ... Indescribable. The Graphics are ridiculous, at best SmartPhone level and the Sounds sound like fermented liver Tran, which has to hand itself in. For this, it's grotto simple and boring like a Teesausage for Coffee. This Something doesn't deserve to be called Racing Game. It is at most a failed Mini-Game that has more to Do with FlappyBird than Rally. Rating: 0/10 Atmosphere 1958 10 Graphics prints 10 Sound ferences 10 Game mechanics inos 10 Balancing 0/10 game pass conclusion: When I say Brummbrumm and sprinkle Sand in my Eyes, that's closer to a Rally than this Rotz. -Neither 10 Overall Rating (Deduction due to misleading Use of the Name of a Masterpiece)
