Conflagrator

You're spaceship crashed in to a giant asteroid that was crawling in swarms of spiderlike alien creatures. Now they're digging in to the side of the ship to get inside. Using your civilization's universal currency, rendered organic material known as biofuel, you intend to turn up the heat and fend off these creatures.

Biofuel can be burned in your weapon to produce flames, applied to the skin to heal wounds, or consumed to increase the abilities of both organic and inorganic material. It's a very versatile substance that has multiple uses.
