CORPSE KEEPER (itch)

return to the *roots* of video games with this hectic, gameboy inspired, time and resource management game (for GGJ 2023)! in CORPSE KEEPER you play as a young farmhand who must keep up with the twisted inside of a (probably haunted) greenhouse. as you tend to the plants, they grow twisted and malicious and feed their wickedness into the growth of the horrifying CORPSE FLOWER! play CORPSE KEEPER and try to prevent this greenhouse from becoming OVERWHELMED by evil!

GAME RULES:

plants grow over time. upon reaching their final (usually disturbing) growth stage, they can be interacted (with E) in order to spend a resource and bring them back to normal

fully grown plants contribute to the growth of the CORPSE FLOWER. the CORPSE FLOWER's growth level determines how fast other plants grow and results in a self compounding feedback loop

you lose when the CORPSE FLOWER has spread its roots across the entirety of the right portion of the screen. the roots can be stopped by tending to the plants

TIPS FOR SUCCESS:

roses grow the fastest so in the beginning of the run, scout out rose bushes for early cutting (rose thorns do NOT take durability to cut)

keep an eye on your resources! its better to be safe than sorry!
