Cosmic Commando

Cosmic Commando is a 2D space action platformer as a cosmonaut in deep space, you find yourself and your ship on the cusp of complete destruction. Your ship has been overrun by an alien force and has been badly damaged. You have to find and collect parts to repair your ship, all the while dodging hazards and defeating enemies, all to accomplish the goal of restarting your ship's engines.
