Driving instructor's nightmare, or RC enthusiast simulator? Navigate a car through dangerous obstacles across 7 challenging levels, with the limitation that YOU CAN ONLY TURN LEFT.

This game was made in 48 hours for GMTK 2020 Game Jam, with the theme "Out of Control"!

Typically, game developers are highly concerned with making sure controls are intuitive, responsive, and easy to use, so they can add complexity to their game. But what if the controls are difficult, opaque, and inflexible? Then just the act of figuring out how to use the controls becomes an accomplishment in and of itself. Inspired by Bennett Foddy's QWOP.

This game uses sprites from several excellent packs by Kenney:

TROUBLESHOOTING:

• On Windows a box pops up that says: "Windows protected your PC. Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting."
  • Click where it says "More Info"
  • Click the button that pops up and says "Run anyway"

• On MacOS you get the error "CounterClockwise cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified."
  • Close the dialog box by clicking "Cancel"
  • Instead of double clicking the app, right click the app and select "Open"
  • A new dialog box will open. This time there will be an option for "Open". Click that.
