Entry for Mark Brown's Game Maker's Toolkit GameJam 2018, theme "genre without mechanic".
An attempt to create a metroidvania with no upgrades. You start off with all of the abilities unlocked. The pickups only tell you how to use the tools you've had all along. If you experiment you may be able to skip parts of the game if you can figure out certain functions early.
