Inside a newspaper office in New York, at the end of the ‘90s, the death of one of its obituaries writer, Clarence, occurs, and the only person to notice the loss is his friend and cruciverbalist colleague, Wes. The two questions on which everything lays on are “Why did he die?” and “How did he die?”, thus the goal is to understand if the case is a suicide or a homicide.
