Cyberfunk (Prometheus)

This is a game made for the 2020 Game Maker's Toolkit (GMTK) Game Jam that is built around the theme "Out Of Control". The concept of the game is a retro-style top-down hitscan rhythm-bound shooter in which the player's weapon fires constantly to the beat of the song, meaning the gunfire is out of the player's control.

As you get more kills, your blue combo meter will fill up, at the half-way mark (8 kills) it will increase the spawn rate of enemies, which is also tied to the beat of the music. Upon getting hit, this meter resets and your score multiplier does also. 

Featuring 5 levels with songs from artists such as:

- Verncarson (Cataclysm)

- Roman-T (Stormwave)

- Dunderpatrullen (Arcadia)

- Teknoaxe (Revenge of the Atari Overlords, Paradigm Shift Red)

...And one unique ambient piece by Plat8L, written during the Jam.
