Dangerous reviews

I was a little afraid in buying it given the opinions received but I have the impression that most of the negative opinions are owed to the fact that some thought to buy elite: dangerous and that, by spite they literally shot this game. In my opinion it's rather a pity because even if it does not equal elite: dangerous whether by the size of the universe or graphically I think this game is worth the detour for all fans of space opera. Personally it makes me think of a mix between Eve online (except that it is a solo game), Galaxy on fire and Freelancer. It is a sandbox in which we embody a driver that we can evolve as we wish (combat, trade, mining, freight or passenger carrier, right path or not... It all depends on us). In addition to the orientation that we want to give to our character's career, the game also has an RPG component since each enemy descended brings the experience that we can invest as we see fit in a whole bunch of skills that range from piloting of frigate, destroyer or other cruiser to the management of sub-space engines through lasers, turrets or even shields, etc... a bit like Eve online (each level obtained in a skill increases its effectiveness of some precious pourcents). The universe, without being as vast as elite: dangerous or Eve online still has more than thirty stellar systems with planets, asteroid belts, stations and other points of interest of all kinds. Moreover even if the game is mostly sandbox there is still a main story and goals more or less secondary that one is free to realize or not. There is also a management of "wingmen" i.e. the little guys who follow you in combat or that you can send mine asteroids for you story of making money without leaving the couch. We can talk to them and even have romances with certain people. Graphically it does not take off the retina but we can not say that it is ugly, the ships and structures are not insane but the planets, light effects and asteroid belts are rather sympathetic to watch. Where it hurts a little more is the commands that are anything but intuitive and it will take you a good hour to get to understand everything (a hint disable the cinematic mode and followed the missiles in the options, otherwise the camera spends its time to ball go between your ship, enemy ships and sometimes to follow the missiles to their point of impact, it quickly hurts the head). In addition to this small defect I find the game rather well screwed, rich and ready, certainly everything is not perfect but when you are fan like me of space, ships, intergalactic adventure and crew interaction it would be silly to pass by. Summary: the less:-the orders a little boring at first-the French translation which, if it has the merit of existing, is really not top the most: + big universe + lots of stuff to do + freedom! + With a story anyway + you can interact with your teammates + lots of ships and sophisticated tricks to climb on + possibility to make dogfight or put the fight in autopilot if one is lazy (which does not guarantee victory) + a set (PLA netes, asteroids, stars) graphically nice verdict: take it.
