Dark Quest POSITIVES + is very much oriented Towards the grandiose Hero Quest + fat four fields big End opponents + Easy-to-learn game MECHANICS NEGATIVES-Graphic style seems incongruous (compared to the really great Artwork of the Board game)-Inventory is during the Game Heavily bugged, so that many Items are either inselectable, or have a fake Mouseover-less Storry than Hero Quest (and you have to manage That first), so no Introductory texts or final Texts before or after each Dungeon-characters have no Proper Backstory or similar-no German lyrics (which certainly wouldn't have been an Expense with the few Lines)-attacking and Defensive Values of the Characters incomprehensible (which definitely differ)-Alb (Elf) lacks as a fourth Character-none Proper buyable Weapons or Armor, merely-no unique magical Artifacts (such as orc terror, Borins armor, magic scepter, magic amulet Or Ghost Sword)-too few Spells-rooms not extra searchable (to be searched by a random Treasure pile Something to pull)-no achievements-far too much Gold to find, so I had 3,000 + Gold at the End and didn't know anything to do with it-only 4 Hours Of playing time FAZIT Dark Quest unfortunately doesn't reach the Original Hero Quest, which it has to be measured with Since it also shamelessly copies this one. The Game has nevertheless entertained a little, but a Thumbs up is out of the Question due to the Bugs and the lack of game Content. Maybe the Developers learn from the negative Points and create a better second Part. If you are interested in further Reviews of me, follow my Group.

Be greeted, When I found the Game in Monday Sale 3 Days ago, I was pleasantly surprised by the Retro Look. Well I'm Generation Amiga 500 and there was this Hero Quest. At the Time both as a Board Game and on the then Home Computers. What is Dark Quest? A Plagiarism? A Tribute? It's definitely the latter, because as simple yet loving as it's implemented, it motivated me to Play. Then we have this "Only one More train!" Effect with which Heroes of Might and Magic has already scored. In Dark Quest you are dealing with a small Group of Heroes who want to put an evil Wizard to rest. The Whole thing takes place in Dungeons and 90% according to the Rules of the good old Hero Quest Games. It lacks a 4 Figure and also various Objects, but what is the case. After Completing a Dungeon, you can equip yourself with useful Items in a small Village and then proceed. The Game has its Weaknesses and one or The other could have been better solved, such as the "action/Pulling" Principle. Surely it is quite short, I was finished after 3.3 Hours and the Graphics are quite the same. But still it's Fun, it motfies, you want to get through it and that's exactly what counts. Dark Quest is a small simple Game Pearl where you can easily access the small Price. If You like Hero Quest, Retro games, lap strategy, You're very well catered for here. If you like it more sophisticated and complex, you're into Fine Graphics, you won't be happy here and should rather reach for Heroes of Might and Magic Or Space Hulk. The End has confused me a bit, but a Visit to the Publisher's Page showed me it continues with Dark Quest 2 and I hope it will come, because Time Data I searched in vain. Greetings Wyvern
