DataHaven

DataHaven is a hex-based roguelike about hacking built for the #7DRL GameJam.

Your Stack of Programs keeps you connected, and is how you interact with the System. Whenever you use a Program in your Stack, it goes to the Recycle Bin. You can return all the Programs from the Recycle Bin to the Stack at any time, but one will be permanently deleted. Whenever you take damage from rogue processes on the System, one (or more) of your Programs will be randomly deleted.

Steal as much Corporate Data from the System as you can before your connection is terminated. Defeat Datahavens to acquire Data. You can Install additional Programs by defeating Servers.

By using careful positioning, you can use your Programs to damage mutiple processes at once. This is particularly effective if you can damage servers and datahavens at the same time. Make sure to be very careful with taking damage, every hit will severely reduce your capabilities.

Programs

• spike.exe - Attacks 2 hexes in a line
• hack.exe - Attacks 3 hexes in an arc
• frag.exe - Attacks all surrounding hexes
• firewall.exe - Attacks many hexes in a line
• kill.exe - Immediately terminate adjacent process
