Early Access Review Follows our Curator page: GGC curations if you want to read more Reviews like this.
First Of all: This Review does not contain Any Spoilers.
If you don't have a time/, just scroll down to The conclusion:)
The Game: Depraved is a classic Construction Simulation In the Wild West. You have to take care of the Accommodation of your Citizens, Clothes, food, Drink, a Work and Resources to build more Buildings. You have to protect your Citizens against Bandits and wild Animals, and there is a Sheriff, Revolver hero and Hunter available.
You even have to take care of Basic Needs like going to the Toilet or an Attitude for the Horses, because in free without Food they will die relatively quickly.
There is a Day and Night change, no work is done at night either. Just like Seasons, there are Rich in income and poor. As it stands in Reality. For an Early Access, the Game is already quite complex, you have to build some buildings and can spread to a fairly large map, expand, build Trade Routes and make your Civilization bigger and bigger.
The Atmosphere: A wild Western Feeling comes up quite well. The Buildings are beautifully detailed, the Music is apt and generally graphic it is in Midfield. There is certainly still a lot to optimize, but it is a release conclusion and an Early Access. That is why this has been in Order so far.
The Story: At the Time of The Test (last Test 20.7) there is no Story yet. It would, of course, be nice if a Storage strand were introduced in the Future. But if you can most easily do without a Story into a Genre, it's probably in a Build-up Simulation.
The Controls and Mechanics: You couldn't move the Camera with the Mouse at the Time of testing, which was a little strange. Wasd works for this and, of course, goes well out of hand. If you select an Area on the Mini map, the System may take over a Click as a "Hold down button" and you switch back and forth wildly.
You can increase the Speed, only the highest Speed is not fast enough. One should install a higher one.
Otherwise, the Control is quite simple and, despite minor Errors, fulfills its Purpose.
The Duration of The game: In a Construction Simulation, it is always very difficult to determine something. If no Illness, wild Animals, Bandits or premature Bankruptcy invades you, then after an intense 7-10 Hours you have probably built all the Buildings 1x.
With that, of course, the Game is not "over," this only serves as a relevant Guideline.
The balancing between Construction Opportunities, Residents and Gold Revenues is good, in my Opinion.
-Conclusion: Construction Simulation In the Wild West. You have to pay attention to The needs of the Colonists (Water, Hygiene, Food, clothing, Schlafort) and reduce Resources (Wood, Stone, Gold, coal, iron, etc) to enlarge your Colony. You expand and create Trade Routes. On the Way to becoming a "Great Power" you have to defend Yourself against Wild animals and Bandits and defy the Seasons. A Game in Early Access that already has conviction and good Development potential. I can certainly make a Recommendation to buy at this Stage. It's Fun, plays your fluidly and when you see minor Problems beyond (above), you have many Hours of Fun building your Colony.
