Depths of Peril reviews

The Game by current standards does not look very, but actually sitting in it an hour of another, it seems to be a lamp and resembles the good old games like Diablo, Carmagidon, worms. There are some problems in the game, but they do not go anywhere. Looks not Casuistato and unpretentious, but just this and addictive this game)

There are games we always come back to. Depths of peril is one of them. It is an RPG in a dynamic world with elements of plomatie. There is always something going on in this fairly open world, with large square levels and (underground) dungeons of varying shape and size. The graphics are simple and colorful, but quite readable. We have fun from start to finish, with no downtime. This game is an indie Pearl. A little retro wonder. In addition, I translated it into French, so you have no excuse not to try it.

Depth of peril is one of the first beads of Soldak and remains today the best game of this box but of course not. In summary DoP is a hack & slash in the purest tradition Diabolo'esque with an interesting variant: everything is procedurally, dynamic and coherent. All this to say that the proposed quests have a reason to be and if you fail one where the let slip the levels change and evolve. In addition, DoP offers an awesome look: the impression of playing a multi game while being entirely solo. The computer directs other clans and just as you make the world easier. And even stronger, you can trade, propose chords and help each other or kill each other with the other clans. In short, another unique gem of Soldak. Do not look elsewhere, only this company makes this style of play. Bravo

As the name is not the best and for the graphics it took me quite a while to get used to it, this game has its own cuz, very well developed and fun. For the price I paid it is really very nice (pity for the lack of a multiplayer) with a community that supports it. The game is a mixture of Diablo II and Civilization, on the one hand we have randomly generated maps together with the whole world, equipment and quests, with the choice of 4 main classes with which we could face the dangers of the world of Jorvik (and we can also Recruit helpers) in a classic Action RPG very similar to Diablo, on the other you have to try to take control of the village diplomatically or forcibly keeping to a good level the relationships with other clans that evolve like you in Civilization style, therefore diplomacy, exchanges, alliances, covenants, tax management, sympathies or not. A winning combination.
