About
Deserted is a narrative game with puzzle elements set in a dystopian future.
It's a student project made by
Wolf Niedermark (Programming), Katarina Mitrovic (Art), Giulia Pratillo (Art) and Christopher Sebastian Boeckh (Design)
for the course "Power Play- Rapid Prototyping", at the University of Applied Sciences Europe. As such, it embeds a purpose statement :
The political topic we want to focus on is the problem of isolation in a modern, technologically advanced (and dependent) society and its resulting loneliness. Further topics that will mainly inform the visual and narrative design of the game are environmental pollution and the popularity of modern home assistants. Our game is a narrative experience, aimed to convey the feeling of solitude and exclusion in a modern, capitalistically oriented dystopian society.
