Never a dull moment in the life of a detective! Play as the titular character Detective Dan as he strolls around a quaint town. Try and figure out what's happening in town today by acquiring various items, interacting with the locals, and literally putting together clues. This game has it all! Hidden trophies, picky children, and a kleptomaniacal crab - all crammed into a crisp 64x64 resolution.

CONTROLS

Mouse only for this game!

Left Click

Move around town by clicking where you want to go. Clicking on a wall or on the background will do nothing for you, so if you want to move, click on the ground.
Pick up items you find
Select and move items inside of the menu
Interact with people with the items you have found

Right Click

Open and close the menu and other popups
If something funky seems to be happening with movement or the mouse, just open and close the menu and that should reset everything.

This game was made in two weeks for the LOWREZJAM with the restriction that the game must have a base resolution of 64x64.

This was a solo effort and all graphics and code were made during the game jam's time period. The music is Versatile Daze by Martijn de Boer from CCmixter and the sound effects I acquired from Halftone SFX Pack and NoiseForFun SFX pack.
