Product received for free DISTRAINT 2 is an Indie Horror Game that, despite the finished Predecessor, ties directly to its end. To What extent this is even possible is dismissed as a Mystery, but since this Idea is anything but innovative, everyone should actually have a good Idea within a few Minutes what might be going on. Of course, I do not want to reveal whether this is actually the Case here. And I can't say that much about the Story either, because with a Playing Time of 2-3 Hours it is only slightly longer than that of the Predecessor. Knowing The Story a bit further, however, has turned out to be a good Idea. Not only because Price, the Protagonist, gains a bit of Depth as a result, but because it gives him one last Chance to regret his Decisions and to draw new Hope. Of course, since this is a Horror Game, this is not a simple Affair. For this, he has to delve into his Childhood Memories, among other things, and deal with personified Manifestations of Greed and Agony. And sometimes even a real Monster runs his Way. Outside of short, scripted Sequences, however, these never pose a Threat. Despite Its dense soundscape and some disturbing effects, I still can't describe the Game as creepy. The fact that Price rarely responds to these Creatures also contributes. So In That respect, the Game could have offered a bit more. ---> The Rest of the Review can be found on my Blog [www.jack-reviews.com] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XhgZN1onVc

Product received for free DISTRAINT 2 ... I have seen a whole Series of different pixelart games over the Years and have also played myself, but none (!) have already convinced me of its optics in the first Scene as DISTRAINT 2. But let's start over: DISTRAINT 2 is a Kind of sidescroll horror adventure. The Atmosphere in the Game is ingeniously implemented. This oscillates between Horror, quite a little Jumpscare (but rather little), Morbidity, black Humour and some more. To the Story, of course, I don't want to spoil anything at this Point. Only so much: There is a first Part called DISTRAINT, on which this Game is directly connected here. Nevertheless (!), even without Knowledge of the first Part, I had absolutely my Fun and was able to understand and experience the Story. I never had the Feeling of "Why?" At any Point. The second Part, however, has made me so curious about the first one that I will play this one for Sure the Days. Basically, you move your Character to the left and right through the World. You will find Objects and combine them with the Environment to move forward. In between, there are always some Puzzles, which are interspersed. The Puzzles are by no means complicated. Often it is enough to be attentive or to risk a second Glance and already a, supposedly hard, puzzle is quite easily solvable. I have already commented On the Graphic. I can only praise very much In This Regard. Fantastic Art-style! Fittingly, the Soundscape and Background Music is always apt, often very distressing, makes for Shock moments, just perfect! In the End, I can only warmly recommend this game to any sidescroll and pixelart fan. Even People who otherwise have nothing to Do with Horror should risk a Look. Below, fix a few Pro's And Contra's in the Short Overview. Pro:-fantastic graphic and Art style-Never before seen such an atmospheric Pixel World-Soundtrack and Soundscape is perfect-interesting Psycho-horror story-screen texts available In several Languages (also in German)-a more than Fair Price (in my Eyes)-nice little Puzzles (but which are never unfair)-makes mega curious about Part 1 (in my Opinion, can be enjoyed without previous Play of Part 1)-have personally found no Bugs whatsoever Contra:-no Voiceover (Characters " Muttering "rather)------All game reviews of mine in my < < Review Section > >
