About

Take on the role of Aaki, a seemingly normal if somewhat self conscious young man, whose life is turned upside down after a casual stroll through the local park. Now he has to deal with two mischievous demi-gods who insist he must marry one of them. If that wasn't enough it seems that several women he knows have also decided he must go out with them, and all the while he has his exams to deal with too.

It's a tough time for Aaki in this little Divine Slice of Life.

The game features a large script and amazing artwork to tell Aaki's story giving the player key choices to make throughout which in turn effect how Aaki's life is shaped and what the games final ending will be.

Featuring:
  • Detailed Story with Multiple Alternate Endings
  • Voice-acting for the main characters
  • Five separate female romance options
  • Fun, Tongue in Cheek script
  • Multiple choices with a branching story
  • Dedicated Original Soundtrack
  • Un-lockable in-game gallery
  • Steam Trading Cards
  • 5-6 hours of gameplay on the main story-lines

Divine Slice of Life reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Deutsch
Divine Slice of Life is a Visual Novel by Dharker Studio. The Story revolves around Aaki, a young Student who has one or the other problem with Love and is by the way also the Greek God Zeus, which is why he meets with two other Deities at the Beginning. I don't want to reveal any more for Spoilers, only that the Story from there becomes a bit strange but also quite funny, because the two swirl his Life a little bit. It's just a shame that the Story is so short, you could have made a lot more of it and give the Characters more depth as well. Although They are quite credible and act in a relatively comprehensible way, the Potential has not been fully exploited by a long shot. In the Game you then have some Decisions that almost all have an Influence on one of the numerous Endings. Otherwise, however, the Influence of the Decisions on the Game is only minor, so the Events and Dialogues that follow directly after them are often the same or very similar to each other. By the way, this also applies to some Dialogues that you use 1 to 1 for different Characters. The Developers could have been a bit more creative. I really like the Graphics of the Game. The Characters are well designed and show at least a little facial Expressions. This is nothing special, but after all it is not always only the same rigid Character Models. The Backgrounds are Varied and sometimes very successful, others are rather functional but at least all fit the respective situation and are mostly detailed. The Sound is ok, although I have to confess that I still drastically screwed the Music down right at the Beginning. This was because the Lyrics of the Characters were set to music, which I always find very positive at VN. However, they speak so quietly that they are quickly drowned out by the Music, therefore down with the Music Volume. Otherwise, however, the Setting of the Characters has succeeded well. The Voices, in my Opinion, fit the Figures and the Speakers have struggled to adjust the Emphasis on the sentences and individual Words to the Situation (that they also sound irritated in appropriate Situations, for example, etc.). One more Small Comment: You can probably also play uncensored Games by logging on to the Developer Page (just look at the Discussions, who is interested), because I wasn't very interested in that, but I didn't test it either, can So don't make a Judgment on how well that works. All in all, a UN that falls short of its Possibilities, but has nevertheless entertained me well, hence the Thumbs up. The Story is unfortunately a bit short, but at Steam there is a direct 5-6 hour Gameplay, so you already know what to get into when You buy it. But at the Original Price of currently 16 Euros I definitely wouldn't get it! Wait for a Sale if it costs under 5 Euros you can give the Game a chance.
