Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary reviews

The Dracula Series was recommended to me as a very good Adventure series. Unfortunately, I bought the first three in the Bundle. Dracula 2 does not remotely get to the first Game Dracula: The Resurrection, Which I would describe as a bad Adventure. The Game is a continuous Disaster. As in the first Part, the Games a la Google StreetView moves through the Game. Objects that the Player can interact with are marked by a small Cog. One moves, or better teleported, through the Game, searches the Cog Symbols in each Scene and executes them with an Object from the Inventory. Unfortunately, the Game doesn't tell a proper Story. As a Player, it's completely unclear why you're doing a Task. Here are two Examples: 1. The Player will find two Notebooks and two "Scrolls" in the Game. None of these Items are readable. If you want To know what's written in the Books, you have to watch a Let's Play of the Playstation version of this Game on YouTube. 2. The Story, if you may call it that, has huge Gaps. In the Middle Section of the Game, Dracula's Shelter is discovered in a Cemetery. If one opens the Shelter a cut scene is shown in which the Main Character reports about his Trip to Transylvania. Why is the Main Character driving right across Europe? What the Main Character found in Dracula's Hiding Place? No matter. Can't have been that important. The Game does not consider it necessary to tell the Player. 3. (Another Point, because it is so beautiful). An NPC that dies in the Game gives the Player a Key to a Lab where the Items are supposed to be for Fighting Vampires. If you Come to the Lab, the Player will find a half-finished Apparatus. How is the Apparatus assembled? What does the Apparatus do? Against Who or What can the Apparatus be used? No matter. With things like That, the Game doesn't even stop there. The German Voiceover Is an Imposition. In the first Part, the German Voiceover (for a PS1 Era adventure) was okay. In this Game, it's a Disaster. Every hobby theatre company had done better, with no Preparation time. Finding such bad Speakers is an Achievement. In addition, there is a complete Game. If the Player moves through a Room divided into multiple Scenes, the room changes, the Player would be moved. If, for Example, a Corpse in Scene A and the Games moves to Scene B and turns around, the Corpse is gone. If the Player goes back to Scene A, the Body is back in the usual Place. As the only positive Point, I would like to praise the Struggles. In some Scenes, the Player is attacked by Vampires. In these Scenes, the Player must solve Puzzles under Time Pressure. This is a nice Change. I couldn't finish playing the Game myself. By some Bug, I had too many Handles and Shapes in the Inventory at The end Of the Game. These were no longer recognized by the Game, which is why I couldn't solve the last Puzzle. So I had to watch the Ending on YouTube. In General, this is in good Tip. Saves your Money and watch a Let's Play of this Game on YouTube (PS1 Version!!!!). For an Adventure, this Game is pathetic.
