Dragon - Festival Route

Game proposal made for the first semester of the college of games at Fatec São Caetano do Sul

An evil spirit known as the Jídu decided to imprison the Dragon's nine children so that they would not attend the festival that takes place on the same night. Dragon - Festival Route tells the story of Xifu, a small Chinese dragon and the youngest among his brothers who managed to break free from his prison and escape. Now, your mission is to find and release each of them so that everyone can meet at the Festival.

In Dragon - Festival Route, the player controls Xifu, a small dragon cub who sets out in search of his eight lost brothers to find them and release them from their prison before the Dragon Festival begins.

Snake game + Pac-Man inspired mechanics

• Gather as many Souls controlled by Jídu to find the medallion hidden in each level and free your brothers!
• Due to his size, be careful when accompanying Xifu on this adventure, as he can't walk in opposite directions to the one he is currently in!
• Escape from the Jídu himself who will not rest until you are stopped!

History and Art

• History is inspired by an ancient tale of Chinese culture, that according to Chinese mythology and popular belief, the Chinese Dragon had nine children, and each of them has a meaning and cultural representation. They are very common in building decorations, plaques and statues across China. As this story has an aspect of popular belief, there are consequently several versions of it, so the order or names of the Dragon's children may end up varying from story to story.
