Simple but effective.
Good artstyle, simple turn based combat and a standard RPG plot to keep things moving along.
A bit grindy at times though.

It's definitely dated, but compared to nowadays RPGs short enough to not steal much of your time if you want to experience the granddaddy of JRPGs

Contrary to the Opinion, The control is quite okay. Unfortunately, The Map is very manageable. There's little Variety and that Kind of "English" is partly hard to understand. Nice Pastime but the Price is viiiiel too high for that.

Nice remake to relive the much loved adventures on the old NES. The controls are intuitive and comfortable. In Short, recommended to anyone who wants to start from one of the milestones of JRPG when Square and Enix were challenging the shots of fantastic video games, before merging. Recommend.

The one who laid all the basics of the series, which will be improved in the 2 and expanded in the 3. A pleasure to come back from time to time, for a few hours of old-fashioned adventure without taking a head. A nice RPG with a fairy tale vibe. Attention, the English used is quite sharp.

A great opportunity to play the first installment of Dragon Quest. It Is A very classic game in many respects, but very fun. The only bad thing is that it uses a very archaic English (which makes it a little difficult to understand everything at first). PD: It would be appreciated a translation into Castilian for the titles of this saga.

Dragon Quest is the JRPG par excellence and, although it is less than the later chapters or the first Final Fantasy, is a must for fans of the genre. The app, however, needs big changes, especially in the controls, menus and font. It Is very playable, and for the price it can be good, but still must be updated.

A remaster (Super Famicon version) that is very well played on iPhone and at an attractive price. Everything is very well suited to the size of the screen and the game does not lose anything of its charm. Only small downside but which is actually not one: the impossibility of having the texts in Japanese for those who would have wanted to immerse themselves in the original prose.

I love the nonlinear arrangement in DQ. You have to explore the world, talk to all NPCs collect and jot down all the clues to be able to get anywhere. No One keeps you in your hand. The Game may indeed have a poor supply with armor and weapons compared to in eg. Final Fantasy But it's not where the strength of Dragon Quest lies. Where FF feels more like a story you take part of is DQ a trip you go on. Still Draws of a star for all grinding from time to time but in general this is a classic worth every penny.
