Dredge reviews and comments
This is a great and very simple but deep game. The main premise is so addictive. Catching and selling fish, always going for that next upgrade. The horror elements are fairly light but I love the designs of some of the fish and creatures. I think they did a great job with each region and its unique horrors. I had a blast getting the platinum in this game. The only issue I found was you end up getting all the upgrades with so much overstock of money and supplies while you ship is so limited. To me there could've been a lot more minor upgrades to increase storage and what not. I know some of that made its way to the DLC. The only main issue I had was the RNG on crab pots. The Crown of Nadir literally took hours to get and I had maxed out pots in Stellar Bay. So fuck that thing but other than that a great game. I would love to see what this team does next.

A little cute thing with a dark mysterious backgroud plot. Loved it, the fishing is done great, and so is the atmosphere of Lovecraftian horror.
Art-style is nice, great creature design, music is good, gameplay loop is fun (particularly in the early and mid game, slightly less in the late game). The inventory management is quite satisfying, enemies/hazards start out very intimidating, but you can outrun them pretty easily with a better engine and then they stop being scary. Maybe a bit short, I played it for 12 hours and caught most of the fish and did most of the sidequests (I think) before finishing the main questline.
Can recommend! Kept me from going to bed when I should have hahaha
