I wanted to make a simple horizontal shooter for giggles but I added a branching path mechanic to spice things up. Look for gaps in the background that you may be able to fly through as different paths have varying difficulties.
When I come back to this I'm going to add some more weapons and enemies.
This is all very 'place-holder-y' and bare-bones right now but over time I want to see if I can expand this into some kind of a Rogue-lite.
The player can take a few hits before death and the health bar regenerates quickly. The idea being to encourage the player to play aggressively with less fear of dying.
Controls:
Left thumbstick for movement
X / A fires weapon
Triangle / Y toggles the pulse rifle weapon (the first one you pick up) between guided / unguided.
