Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus reviews

Of questionable Heroes and more questionable Opponents ... A Magician, a Barbarian and a Villain walk into a Bar ... Gameplay "Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus" is a retro brawler in which, as was typical in 90s, you beat your way through the Levels. There are 3 Characters to Choose from, each bringing their own Attacks, as well as a special Skill that can be used occasionally. The Game is playable locally or over the Internet with 3 People, but I warn against the Internet Connection, as the Game uses uPnP and many Routers do not cope with the old System. Originally I wanted to play it with a Buddy, but that was just because of it. The Game itself can be created in just under an Hour, although the Game is challenging, but when a Character has run out of life, you can simply reappear and change character in the Game. Sometimes on the Way a second Player would have been just very welcome to me, as some Opponents notice that the Game was designed that way. I have noticed this particularly with the many Boss Fights that ensure that there is no Boredom at this Hour. It is important to say that this is only the first Part, which should become at least a Trilogy. Unfortunately, there will probably be no Successor for Cost Reasons, but that does not detract from the first Part. Story We play a small Mercenary Group, consist of a stupid Barbarian, a money-hungry Villain and an anxious Magician. These roam the country in Search of the namesake eye, and the Prospect of Gold, Beer and Fellow Believers. We come across an astonishing number of strange Characters throughout the short Story, with whom our Heroes engage In really funny Dialogues, which often makes the Boss battles even more abstruse. I also found it surprising how much Character the Figures show, even if it remains superficial. But I have to say, for an Hour Of play, a lot of good Dialogues, Situations and Characters have been introduced here. The Game definitely made me laugh more often. Grafik/Sound Since the Game is a retro Brawler, I don't have to say much about the Graphics. It's just pixelated and paired with a few funny Effects. However, I found the Artwork of the Characters and in the Intermediate Scenes very appealing and very artistically designed. Musically there is actually little to report is just typical Fighting Music. On the other hand, I Liked the good English opponent of the Dialogues, which simply gain quite a bit of Value, precisely because of the Setting. With worse Speakers, not so much Wit, even with Opponents, would have come across. However, I often found the Dialogues too quiet when they took place in a Fight, as the Fighting Sounds simply drown out. Verdict "Dungeons: The Eye of Draconus" is more than just a short Retrobeat Game. Not only does it own a Co-op, it also has a funny Story with funny Characters. Too bad it probably stays with this one-hour adventure and there won't be a Successor. It's a small Price for a small Game, so I'd recommend it, but if that's too much, you can wait for an Offer. For me, the Game is a small, short Indieperle. Did the Review help you? Then follow me in my Steam Group, where I write my Reviews as a Curator.
