About

You are a pilot in the government forces stationed at one of the planets under attack. As you get higher on your career ladder, you will be able to choose more advanced hovercrafts and ammunition, as well as to order your own squad and influence local battles.

The goal of the development of the game is to further expand our virtual universe. Based on the huge success of the first game, we are presenting you with the same world, occurring at the same time, but from the point of view of another character, whose adventures unfold according to a different storyline. At times, it will cross the storyline of the previous game, and if you have played "Echelon", you will recognize some places and characters.

Echelon: Wind Warriors is a unique game. This is not a regular space-battle simulator, nor is it a simulator of combat in enclosed labyrinths. The action is taking place above the surfaces of a planet, the picturesque landscapes of which are one of the basic features of the game play. In the realism of the implementation of the gaming environment – the cockpit of the battle hovercraft – Echelon is comparable with the best flight simulators. The game play is similar to that of the MechWarrior series, but instead of a walking robot, you pilot a fighter. Echelon: Wind Warriors has the following advantages over Echelon:

  • Unique combination of flight simulation and action.
  • Realistic and highly detailed world of the game. Various, elaborate, and vast landscapes.
  • A broad but well-balanced range of available weapons provides the player enough freedom and flexibility for using different tactics.
  • The player’s progress, as he advances through the game, upgraded equipment, as well as the appearance of new equipment with unknown functions on the part of the enemies will continually add excitement to the game play.

Echelon: Wind Warriors reviews and comments

The Best domestic Sci-Fi simulator of atmospheric Stormtrooper/fighter. A Good plot (but slightly worse than in the first part), a sophisticated physics of aircraft, a bunch of new, expanded continent with complete freedom of action! And that's all in 2002! Of The shortcomings can be noted still present bugs, which were still on the disc versions of the game, they remained in the Steam version, and to run under the x64 system will require dancing with a tambourine.

A Masterpiece of my childhood. It was with this game that I fell in love with air. Simulators. As I remember yesterday-asked the father, whether our old monobloc on Pentium this game, and so rejoiced when the father has told that will go. Eeekeh, tens, or hundreds of hours I spent in it.... Chic, just a chic voice. This masterpiece is my standard of voice in games. So Lively, no hokum speech, I have not met even in AAA games. And this-2004 year... I recommend you to take the first and the second part of "Storm" and step in with the settings-play it.

This is a terrific game from childhood "generation 90s". This is a good fighter simulator of the future. A Huge plus-a "living" battlefield. Those who wrote the script of fights and missions knowingly ate their bread. The Player was given various tasks, and they could be updated at any time of departure. Even when the task is completed successfully:) Another Plus is humor in the dialogues. I did not play the English version, but in Russian there were very funny moments. Of the cons-explicit dancing with the tambourine to run on modern PCS and the absolute reluctance of the caliper Buki to go to the rescue, the guys could not answer me 3 (!) months. But the game I on the wine 10 still launched). It Should be noted that the graphics are also outdated, but in battle not before that) Obviously recommend. If you have enough patience to dance with the tambourine, then your charge of positive and pleasure you will get)

The Game is chic. Nostalgia is on the roof. Passed it completely. Loved the chip in the form of the Secret story company and sporting missions. Well, the plot with unexpected twists, text and voice-it is generally 10/10. Cherry on the cake is a fairly free world in style where I want to fly there and a decent amount of equipment:) The Disadvantages are a decent number of bugs and defects. Many of it even could not run-personally helped me solution from Walldos + I did not close the window with the command line while playing. (You can also run from the steam) In the same game bugs a bit, but they are: Buggy control, script errors and occasional blunt bots (crash, explode, hang in the sky under the fire, etc.). Decent part of them are solved by restarting the mission. To solve the other game problems I recommend reading the passage of the game, articles and forum. It really helps to understand what, where and how to do.
