Echo Command
About
Echo Command is a work-in-progress audio-based shoot-em-up that focuses on reaction time, made for the Greenlight Jam.
For the Ideation sprint, I've uploaded the mind map I used to generate ideas, the game design macro I created, and a screenshot of the trello board I made.
For the Prototype sprint, I've uploaded both Windows and Linux builds of my prototype. Use the left stick or A and D keys to move the ship left and right, use the right trigger or left mouse button to charge your ship's blasters, and release to fire. Listen for the enemy ships in the distance - you can't hear them approach, but you can hear them when they charge their blasters, and their ships burn out for a few seconds after each firing, making them sitting ducks as long as you can dodge their bullets. You can take 3 hits before death. Controller recommended. Headphones heavily recommended, if not required.
For the Production sprint, I've uploaded a WebGL build. Play in a Chromium-based browser (e.g. Chromium, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Edge)
