Embers of Magic reviews

Embers of Magic is a Visual Novel by Ithaqua Labs. The Story revolves primarily around the magician's/Witch Liana, how she comes into the World from her floating City down and what she experiences there. Unfortunately, you get very little Information about the World and what exactly happened. Yes there was an "Accident" with Magic that probably did not turn out so well, but a little more Details would have been very nice at the Place, for example. What the Bird people were for, too, does not open up to me, as they were completely irrelevant For the Rest of the Story. After All, the individual Characters are very individual only a little more Information about each individual would not have hurt here either. But at a Playing Time of less than 1 hour, it was probably no longer inside in terms Of Character development. The Story ends very abruptly and at least leaves me feeling that something would have to bathe, in short, it seems unfinished. By the Way, you only have a single one and this has almost no Influence on the Game (a Wallpaper changes Minimally depending on the Decision). I found the Graphics refreshingly different, in Retaliation I was to most UN people In Love with detail and very colorful. When I saw the Screens here on Steam I found the Stalk still ugly but I have to admit that I got used to this Look very quickly and he promised me very quickly. The Background Music and Sound Effects are nice and underscore the different Scenes. The Lyrics of the Figures are all set to music, some very good, others rather less so. On my Own, I can't really decide whether to give this VN a Thumbs down or up. But Since the Short Description says "It is set in the same world as Brilliant Shadows, but happens 300 years beforehand.," I assume that this is a secondary or Prehistory to this Game. That's why I tend to look past the rather thin, unfinished Plot. Anyone who knows Brilliant Shadows and thought this well will certainly also enjoy Embers of Magic (I at least I'm curious about Brilliant Shadows now and will read it on Occasion). If you don't know it, however, you can still give the Game a chance, because it's free And the Good graphics and sound are quite rewarded.
