About

WASD to move, SPACE to dash, P to use abilities, ENTER to begin, TAB to pause

I'm extremely tired at the moment, so I'll be brief.

A semi-procedurally generated roguelike where you can only protect yourself in a significant way by possessing other creatures.

Without getting too much into what didn't make it in the few spare hours that I had to work on this (but, honestly, I could have put in at least a few more good ones, as usual), I'm most happy with how the enemies compliment each other with their behaviors and abilities. It's simple, but I had doubts, and proved to myself that I could make it happen in an interesting way. I got most of what I wanted to done, but the shop system (the other primary use of the Spirit Orbs) wasn't quite ready, as well as many other infrastructural elements that I just had 90% done and couldn't manage to finish for the jam. Still, the randomization mixed with the few pre-made rooms that I made and show me that I was super right about the potential of this idea, and I may pursue the game a bit further to polish and tighten it up how I envisioned it.

EDIT FROM A MINUTE LATER:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME I SPENT SEVEN MINUTES WRITING THIS WHEN I ONLY HAD FOUR TO SUBMIT TO MIZIZIZIZ'S JAM WHAT. Oh, well. Just know that this is part of that Jam.

And a minute after that: Okay, Itch is fine and saved it as for the Jam. Sweet.
