Empires of the Undergrowth
About
"Your queen has set up home beneath a rotting log. She is fat, and vulnerable. Her first brood will need to move quickly if the colony is to survive. Their priority now is to find food, and there is plenty around; but there are other hungry creatures in the undergrowth. The workers will need to be vigilant."
Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game, in a fast-paced real-time strategy style. The player excavates their nest underground, constructing tunnels and chambers to store food and raise brood. On the surface, the ants claim territory, gather resources, overwhelm fearsome arachnids and clash with other colonies. Nest design, army size, composition and attack timing are key to securing victory.

Early Access Review I was looking forward to it, because even the alpha was a lot of fun. It's nice that the developers have recognized the potential and have come up with a lot of content for the early-access. These days, most of them can cut off a proper disk. I have many titles in the library that are not nearly as solid as a full version.
Those who like real-time strategy and build-up simulations will have their joy here. dungeon keeper with ant is something else. The game process is quickly clear and the search factor is constantly growing. A classic time-eater, you don't realize how quickly she passes in the process;-) The game runs absolutely smoothly on maximum settings and crashes without any. Big bugs are only available in this game in the form of opponents, there may be many. The graphics and sound are absolutely coherent and not just quickly collapsed. Someone has taken time for development, as you can see with many details.
From me there is a clear buy recommendation and a big praise and thanks to the developers! This game is really fun and the moderate price will not miss its effect either. I'm convinced it will find a lot of trailers. Not least because it will be expanded very soon by a multiplayer mode.
Happy crawl!

Early Access Review I give the Game a positive Review, even if it is not worth 20 Euros at the Moment-simply the Setup deserves that.
To the Game itself: You have an Ant Colony that you have to expand. The Resources required for this can be gained through Missions in which you have to play your own Colony and take it in with various Insects. You are always on the Hunt for additional Food, because this is the only way to enlarge your Colony and set up more and stronger ants-and this Fight for Food is really hard, at the latest from the 3rd Mission you have to weigh up exactly whether the additional Food is the Can compensate for Potential Losses to troops or not.
There is also a Techtree with which you can improve the Ants, but it is only available in the Main Colony. This usually lives peacefully, but every 3rd Mission scientists test Survivability And so it comes to Battle here as well.
The Game runs steady, no Crashes, once a Bug eliminated with the Mission Restarting.
Currently, there are unfortunately only 4 Missions that you can play normally or as a Challenge, the latter of which brings only a few additional Opponents. In addition, there are 2 (?) Test Missions against the Scientists. By the Way, the game is quite hard, specifically Missions 3 and 4 have it in them, where you're dealing in part with Opponents you practically can't defeat-dodging those is not an easy Thing to do and you really have to be careful if the Risk is worth it.
Overall, I am quite satisfied, even if the Scope of The Game is still quite small at the moment.
