Empress Of The Deep 2: Song Of The Blue Whale reviews and comments

Empress of the deep 2 is the direct sequel to the first volume and we take back the moment Anna goes back to the surface after escaping the explosion of the city underwater... Dating from 2007, it is composed of scene modeled in 3D and compared to the first, it has the advantage of adapting to a large screen without losing too much of its superb but do not expect miracles ^^ Anna's story is really interesting and personally I much appreciated this one. We have more SOC than in the first episode and some objects are well hidden in the décor. The puzzles are pretty classic and especially very easy to do but their goal is mostly to vary the gameplay which is not an evil. There is no map to change places but as soon as a scene has nothing to offer a "clear area" appears at the top right. It is very effective to know if we will come back to a specific place later. In the end, this is a very good game with a really well written scenario. The only regret the 3rd episode is no longer for sale on steam even if the end of song of the blue whale is enough to itself.

The Game is quite extensive for a Hidden Object. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it's good, too. First to History, this is the second Part of a Triology ... You can hardly talk about a Story, though. It is a matter of Freeing the 4 Guardians and then crowning themselves as Rulers. 4 Guardians = 4 Seasons ... Unfortunately, they all play the same way. One looks For Shards that are partially open, sometimes have to be played in Hidden Object pictures. The same time you collect round-flying Fairies and Cassettes. The Cassettes are used to collect the Bonus content, the Fairies to heal an Animal at the End of the respective Season = to get the Key to the liberation of the Guardian. As in the other Games, one is discreetly pointed out as soon as a Scene has been created. Well, the only important thing is the Hidden Obmills and Mini-games. There are surprisingly few of the latter and they are all extremely light (E.g. at the End of each Chapter you have to put the Shards together and then a Picture). The Hidden Obmets are ... I can't describe it any other way ... Annoying. Firstly because the Colors are once again quite slurred, but also because many Parts are hardly recognizable, because you only see a minimal Section, which is partly still obscured by others. Here again, the Setting should not be forgotten. The Music comes again from some Zen esotericism corner And is to fall asleep. The Voices are something of sugar-sweet that a Warning from the Dentist would be appropriate. The Best thing is the bonus content. You can play some Kind of Mach 3 (even with High Score) ... But there are also significantly better ones. Total.... Now at the downset Price of €0.79, it's just about acceptable. Otherwise, the Purchase will clog you up and wait until it appears on one of the Hidden Object collection boxes (DRM-Free).
