Practice your bunnyhopping/strafejumping skills as you race through an endless randomly generated dungeon! This is a proof of concept / prototype for the speedrun and procedural infinite dungeon modes in my game Cosmic Dawn.
Controls
WASD to move, SPACE to jump and doublejump. The level blocks are reset upon respawning. There is no end or finish line. Water has no effect on the player yet, but creates a satisfying splash when entered.
CTRL+H - toggle Hud
CTRL+V - toggle FoV
CTRL+M - toggle music
CTRL+S - toggle all sound (including music)
CTRL+O - toggle shadows (in case of flickering)
Future plans
- Add more dynamic elements like spike traps, rotating walls, etc
- Basic settings (fov, mouse sensitivity, hud/audio toggles)
- Movement controller customisation from within the game
- Lava/Acid pits that slow down the player or reduce momentum upon entry
- A superjump feature with significant cooldown
- Distance based difficulty increase
- Adding footsteps with movement-speed-relative rate
- Adding material/texture variations that trigger a change in footstep type
- Props and cosmetics
- Crouch/slide mechanic
- Fluff
