Evoland 2 is primarily an Action RPG BUT has numerous Phases with different Gameplay. Gameplay The Frame Gameplay in Evoland is that of an action RPG. You walk through the different Areas of the Game, all of which are accessible via a World Map and make a brawl in real time all kinds of Animals. Relatively early on, with The Help of Allies, you can use Spacial Attacks that are not only useful in Combat, but can also remove Obstacles. Thus, with the help of Wind magic, you can cut up Tendrils that block the Path or let a Companion shatter a large Rock. A Peculiarity of Evoland2 is that you can travel back and forth in time later in the Game, which allows you to bypass or remove obstacles in the past that seem insurmountable in the Present or Things from the Future to the Present Bring. Unfortunately, this sometimes degenerates in quite a Racing Shop and I recommend consulting a Guide if you can't get any Further. Another particular feature is the Fact That in Evoland2 There Are plenty of Easter EGs waiting for you in the Form of Gameplay passages or Comments from the Characters. Unfortunately, this also means that numerous Insider Jokes are not understood by younger Players. The Gameplay Passages are reminiscent of Game Classics such as Fireemblem or Streetfighter and have a completely unique Gameplay reminiscent of the respective Games. If you don't have a particular Genre, you can turn down the Level of difficulty at any Time within the Game. Graphics, Soundtrack The Graphics in Evoland vary depending on the Time Level you play and all Graphic Styles are well implemented, except for the Bus Shots of the individual Characters, which seem somewhat out of place in times other than the Present. The Soundtrack is well implemented and coherent. Summary Pro Many different Passages based on well-known classic Games are Ingame Modifiable Difficulty mechanics Interesting Puzzle Mechanics Contra Many Insider Jokes that the Player does not understand when he does not make certain game/movies Knows. Puzzles with Reference to time Travel types sometimes in quite a Racing activity and Backtracking from Conclusion Evoland2 is aimed, despite the colorful Presentation, primarily at older Players, since they know most older Games and Movies, on which many Scenes and Commentaries refer. relate. If you don't, you'll still have fun with Evoland if you're Not too picky about genre choice, because some of them are represented, though not all too long. Personally, I enjoyed the Game and therefore there is the Buy recommendation from me ^^

The game combines almost everything that I always loved while daddling ... Unfortunately I have to join the criticism. Some parts are not quite playable yet and you can only win them with luck or patience. Or the phone lands in the corner in rage. I was working on a game that I mastered in hyper-perfection. Snake! The controls are so bad. When you install a D-pad, it makes it usable. Actually in the respective directions, at the end of the crosses and not in the immediate vicinity of the middle. So I do not even get the ridiculous 10 Pnktchen caught ... Otherwise Kracher! I love it! More more more!!!

I wanted to love this game. I really did. Fusing iconic titles like Zelda and Final Fantasy? Paying homage to the consoles that made gaming what it is today? Brilliant! Alas, Evoland 2 is evidence that a great idea is nothing without proper execution. Never mind the cheesy dialogue and the shallow story. Or the one-dimensional battle system - if the heros single sword sweep even qualifies as one. The character control is where it all goes south. Why on earth would you include classic platform and shoot em up mini games when the controls are as responsive as a sloth on Valium? Plus isnt this supposed to an RPG? And not Super Mario meets Space Invaders? I hope a different developer picks up the idea and create the game that Evoland 2 should have been. What do you say, Square?

How best to describe this piece of software? A totally crazy journey through time and video game history. As a hero of unknown future and or past, you ride through time here to change the course of history. At the same time, it's a journey through the history of video games. Beating enemies in Zelda style, then some jump and run, a bit of arcade balling or the enemy in street fighter style are just some of the things you do here. The story takes some time and can be confusing, but it is profound. At the same time, the game never takes itself too seriously, but never becomes absurd. The only drawback is the controller. For some elements you want real buttons. That aside, a must have for all those who want to experience many hours of spa on a totally crazy trip through time.
