About

Happy Birthday Gamemaker! Here's my Gift for your 20th anniversary!

 -> ExoBIT <- Created with Gamemaker Studio 2

//SYNOPSIS

You're in control of <ExoBit>, a GIANT Stellar Combat Mech and "once again" the last hope for mankind. The ExoBIT can move with such speed in space, that a human eye can't follow. The ExoBIT Mech AI established a symbiotic connection to your brain, to transmit the results of 20 x 20 real time BIT scanners around your position. Connect to your ExoBIT now! Unleash mighty attacks, develop your strategy and master advanced maneuvers to beat the approaching XenoX invasion fleet.

//IDEA / CONCEPT

The idea was to find out how much space, harmonized Gameplay elements and actual game could fit in 20 x 20 pixels.

The first goal that made it on paper was a bit ambitious: "Free float in infinite space combined with epic dogfights and level progression with increasing difficulty and complexity in a 20 x 20 pixel game." :D The intention for the first prototype was to  create an illusion of depth within a tiny frame and the second, real challenge was then to make a fun game with tight controls fit within that box.

We hope you like the result!

Feedback is very welcome!

Cheers Adrian @PolarityFlow
