Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold - Episode 1 reviews

Very good little game old school. I believed in ' ' Monkey Island in the Wild West ' ' whether it was in terms of graphics or humour. The character of fester is friendly. He really made me think of Guybrush. This episode is quite short, shorter than the Act 1 of a Monkey Island for example. Fester received the letter from his brother, and finds himself in a small town where he will have to find a companion to guide him, and gather equipment. On the program: Bank attack, drinking contest, fish peaters. Special mention at the ' ' Doug store ' ' where the descriptions of the products sold are worth a peek. The sequel will unfortunately never come out, too bad because the game had a great potential.

Quite nice, but ... First, let's find out that it's a nicely made "point and Click" adventure. The Setting is great and it reminds and the good old adventure times. It also shows some Of the good old adventure humour, but in part this one is also a little too flat. Another Shortcoming Is the largely too easy Puzzles and thus a relatively short Playing Time. This is also the biggest Drawback because it should be an Episode game, the Game time is very short. Unfortunately, it also seems that more Episodes won't be released. If this happens, I will edit the Review again for an Overall Conclusion. Conclusion: Unfortunately no purchase Recommendation, because no further Episodes will appear.

Fester Mudd is a point & click not unpleasant, but only in English. Although the English used is understandable by a large party of the players, it remains no less annoying in the long run. Fortunately, the game is short, and is done very easily with the help of a guide. Fortunately there are, because otherwise it would be quite difficult. The false roads are numerous, and the interactions with the very many objects. It is a bit in the same case as Jolly Rover but in shorter. Graphic side is poor, very poor, we came back 20 years. On the other hand the game is well written, and the dialogues are fun. For many successes are related to history but a few are related to specific interactions. It is therefore advisable to read the Guide astats to have them. The 100% is usually done in two hours (using a guide).

Game Rating 7/10 Actually explains the Game itself in the Intro/4 trailer: A Tribute to old Adventures. Retro. Probably but also just very small Development Team or almost a Hobby Programming. But the Game runs fluidly, the Graphics are really hard, but what's that, menu and Controls are simple but flawless, the Story is quite funny and the Puzzles are not even as light as was hinted at here in the Reviews. A little pity is the confusing Interface, because you almost always need "Benefit" anyway, you could have Slieded something. Even some Items that are never used are not helpful in the ever-full Inventory. But I suspect that are Design Choices with Regard to Episode 2 ... which will presumably never appear again. Well, yes. Just under 2 Hours of Play had the Game with me. A Lot of Coal I wouldn't invest accordingly, but Fun hats made anyway! ;)
