FISH OUT OF WATER:
This is a short mashup/promo I made for my final project in SGD Game Design 2 last semester. This game was my favorite piece that semester. I had Sean Agnew on my 4-person team, who I had worked with previously on Agent Avenge. With me and him as Lead Programmer/ Lead Artist, Isaias Rothrock as Assistant Programmer , and Ben Warn as Assistant Artist, our 4 man team managed to crank out a full 3D game using GameMaker.
I was incredibly happy with the way this turned out, this was my brainchild of the semester. There are NO tools for 3D in GameMaker so this was a real challenge. Absolutely everything had to be done in code.
The first hurdle was me and Sean just trying to get the models to import at all. In the end we found a blender plugin on an all-but-abandoned website, and Sean was able to model in his preferred modeling software, and use his preferred software for texturing as well.

Procedurally Generated levels
5 obstacle types
Forestry and grass
Water shader
Smooth camera movements
Particle systems
Simple translation/rotation animations
