This is a demo of my flocking simulation which I originally wrote in OSG. Here I ported the code over to Unreal Engine in order to support VR.
The code is using UE4 static mesh instancing for the boids and is running on a 7700K CPU with a 1080 Ti for graphics (the performance bottleneck here is obviously the CPU computations).
Requirements: HTC Vive VR System
Right controller Touchpad Up: Add Prey
Right controller Touchpad Down: Remove Prey
Right controller Trigger Press: Stage Predator
Right controller Trigger Release: Release Predator
Right controller Touchpad Left/Right: Kill all Predators
