Followers Plus

Preface

"Follwers Plus" is a project that started long ago during the 139th Weekly Game Jam.

At the time, the project was only a draft as it contained more bugs that actual features. The game was created with the theme "Followers" in mind.

In the original version "Escape the Backhoe", this theme sadly couldn't be incorporated in time. This is why "Followers Plus" is here today.

Followers

"Followers Plus" is a 2d-side scrolling plateformer that let you control a floaty character running in a city, while being chased by a backhoe. Many obstacles stands in your way, such as plastic cones, cars and falling flower pots.

You must sneak your way through each level to progress. At the end of each level is a follower. A follower is smaller version of the hero, that will follow you everywhere. But they are still young, so you need to make sure they avoid any kind of danger.

Changes

This version of the game includes many changes that are detailed in a .txt file (in French) inside the .zip file.

The most notable changes are the addition of the followers, new camera improvements and controls, bugs fixes, difficulty improvment and jump changes.

A solo and a followers mode are now available, the solo mode being similar to the original game, but with bug fixes.

Controls

Right Arrow - Move to the right

Left Arrow - Move to the left

Up Arrow - Jump (Quick tap to make a smaller jump)

Z - Look upwards

D - Look forwards
