This game won a BAFTA. It isn't a fun game, but isn't really supposed to be, something that can be forgiven if the not-funness serves the game in some other way. In this case of this game, that other way is to make the player uncomfortable, disconnected from the game, feeling less agency then in many other games for a variety of reasons. This, in my opinion, is an area where the game fails. I'm not learning about mental illness of any sort, I'm not feeling the right sort of bad to connect with the message on that level, I'm just playing a not great game.
